When temperatures drop, the freezing and thawing cycle begins which can induce payment to shift.
Rainwater or melted snow that seeps into cracks during the winter will often freeze and cause the
pavement to expand, resulting in cracks. These cracks can be repaired with a variety of Sika products
(such as SikaQuick 1000 & SikaQuick VOH), depending on case. The cold conditions of winter will often
hinder cure times of these products, resulting in longer jobs in unfavorable conditions. With Sika Winter
Boost, winter cure times for these products can be cut in half!
Sika Winter Boost is a winter additive for SikaQuick and SikaCrete cementitious products. For use with
SikaQuick® 1000, SikaQuick® 2500, SikaQuick® VOH, and SikaCrete® 421 CI. It is formulated to increase
the early strength development of SikaQuick® and SikaCrete® products without affecting the initial
workability. SikaQuick Winter Boost is easy to use, allows for faster repairs in colder ambient air
temperatures and works in 20°- 45° F (-6° – 7°C) temperatures.
